I just first owe an apology to everyone on this squad and the leaders for not being more proactive about blogging before actually launching. I'm sorry it took me this long to post my first blog but from here on out, expect several a week…as long as there is an internet connection ๐Ÿ™‚

So, with that being said, I also just want to thank all the leaders for making such an impact on, not only myself but the entire W-squad and for being the loving, supportive people they are.

Today is not only Cristie's birthday, but it was the first time I got to really explore the area I have been living in for the past couple days. Today was a lot of firsts for me. Our entire squad got to experience a legit world race bus ride which included racing over some very large potholes, hitting my head a couple times on the window and feeling the effects of motion sickness for the first time…but loving every minute of it because I can say something and experience something a lot of "normal" people do not get to do or experience. I'm not sure how long our bus ride lasted because the only lasting memories I have from today are straddling the equator so I could be in the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere at the same time and also dancing around the middle of a pole that was supposed to signify the center of the Earth ๐Ÿ™‚ A couple hours after that excursion, I found myself on a ski lift for the very first time, heading up an active volcano that overlooked all of Quito, Ecuador. It was amazing! I post pictures a little later because we are about to go to dinner at a place called Aladdin's for some middle eastern food.

It's kind of sad not having Mike, Allison and Andy here with us tonight but I'm glad they came out for our launch and just encouraged us to be different and not live a normal life, because I intend to do just that ๐Ÿ™‚
