i’m going to try something new with my blog. in addition to my regular, inspired blogs i’m going to give you all a mid-week update. my friend, matt, does this and seems to get a good response. let me know what you think…
heidi baker.
if you don’t know who heidi baker is go look her up. now. she and her husband are missionaries in mozambique, africa. they take in orphans and live radical, supernatural lives. they oversee over ten thousand churches where people are being healed, delivered and taken care of. they’ve seen countless miracles : the deaf have heard, the blind have seen, and the dead have been raised. needless to say, she’s incredible.

[danielle, caitlin, birkleigh, and me sending birkleigh off to g42 in spain]
all of that to say, i had the privilege of meeting up with some of my squad-mates last weekend to see heidi at a conference in knoxville. it was so refreshing and life-giving. it’s been a rough few weeks what with the process of transition and all. so my trip was just exactly what i needed.
sickly.
it seems like everyone down in gainesville has been fighting off sickness in one way or another. please keep all of us in prayer as october is marathon month for a lot of us with training camp next week and the stirred conference at the end of the month.
fall.
it’s finally fall down south. i forgot how much i missed the nostalgia of fall time. we missed out on so much of it last year. it’s good to be back in the land of apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes, scarves and roll-the-windows-down-kind-of-weather. i’m looking forward to celebrating holidays with my family this year and rolling out traditions that just aren’t do-able overseas. is it time for christmas music yet? i think it should be.
support.
i still need some. and by some i mean a lot. right now i am only raising about a fifth of my monthly budget. and that’s just not enough. i am in incredible need of monthly supporters who feel led to invest into me and the kingdom work that i’m doing. if that’s you, please let me know. or just go here. i can’t tell you how much i appreciate all of your support : both financially and in prayer. we’re making a difference and changing the world.
…this is real life :

i’ve been at my apprenticeship almost two months already. as i’ve settled into my department and daily roles i have also been given more responsibility and freedom. my biggest project lately has been heading up a lot of the marketing campaign for our real life [college-age] department. i have really loved working alongside of kelly to make a lot of changes and additions to what we are doing. one of the things we have recently done is create profile cards for three different causes [poverty, orphans, human trafficking] that we are highlighting on our various trips. i LOVE this idea and these cards that frank designed.
this is esther. she’s the new face of real life poverty. and she is why i’m making phone calls, sending emails and having meetings about color schemes and copy.
she’s worth it.
that’s pretty much the latest in my little georgia world right now. what’s going on with you?
