kemping.

Here in Szekesfehervar [yeah, say that ten times fast] we
are kemping.  Kemping is more
commonly known as camping.  We are
at a beautiful campground just outside of the city.  We’ve condensed our team down to just four tents to save on
cost so Daina, Lindsay, and I are getting cozy in a three-man tent.  The campground is also home to an
outdoor sports complex.  So, team
goodness. gracious. has decided to get into shape.  Which leads me to my next bit of information.

hannah montana.

So, we were playing soccer the other day.  on asphalt.  Not really a great combination for someone like me who maybe
gets a wee bit competitive every now and then.  So my competition bone kicked in and I ended up taking a
pretty hard fall.  Lindsay also got
scraped up pretty bad.  The
consolation?  We get to rock the
Hannah Montana band-aids.

From now on I think I will be sticking to running circles
around the track.  Yes,
grandma.  Believe it or not I have
started running again and i am doing a really great job of getting into shape.

coconut cookies.

Browsing through the Tesco the other day Paul discovered
some new coconut cookies.  I cannot
really describe to you how incredible these cookies are.  They are just wafers with coconut filling
on the inside.  And, bonus; an
entire package only costs about sixty cents.  Lindsay and I are both in love with them but haven’t had the
chance to make it back to get our own yet.  So tonight, in a fit of desperation, Lindsay and I were
persuaded to sing I’m a Little Teapot for
one and a half cookies.  Pathetic,
I know.  But if you had these
cookies, you would understand.  And
plus, this is the World Race, people.

andor.

Our goal in being here this month is to set up contacts for
future Racers.  Through a series of
events [which will probably be blogged about soon] we have made a contact with
an amazing church here.  Tonight we
had the privilege of going to the youth service of their church.  There were approximately forty, on fire
for the Lord, young people that we were able to hang out with and get to
know.  In the process of
conversation with a young man named Andor I found out that he spent this past
summer in the states.  Where did he
stay, you ask?  Springfield,
Missouri.  That’s right.  Oh, and guess what church he went
to?  James River.  Yep.  It’s following me even to Hungary and James River has
officially gone global.  So, the
Lord blessed me with a little piece of home in a completely random way
today.  And it was very much
appreciated.

support update.

as of right now i have just under $10,000 in my support account.  i need to meet a goal of $11,000 by november first and i still in need of $3,835 to be fully funded for the Race.  if you or someone you know would still like to support me you can do so by clicking on the ‘support me’ link on the left hand side.  any gift would be much appreciated and of course your continued prayers and moral support are vital to me finishing strong.  thanks again to everyone who has been so supportive…i couldn’t do this without each of you!
