Well, let’s see.  I guess it would be appropriate to start with my name.  It’s Ashley.  I grew up all over the ‘great’ state of Kansas but now, when I’m not in school, I live with my grandparents in Branson, MO. My grandparents are awesome.  They are my heroes and I am so blessed to have them be such an integral part of my life.  I am currently a senior (I never thought that day would come!) at Evangel University in Springfield, MO.  My time at Evangel has absolutely been the best four years of my life.  So far.  I’m an Advertising/PR major with a minor in Leadership and, if I can pass History and Structure of the English Language, I will also be certified to teach English as a Second Language come May 1st.   I’m not exactly sure how all of those things are going to fit into a future, but I’m trusting that the Lord has a plan greater than anything I could think up!

<—- These are my cousins Hannah and Ethan on Christmas Eve this year.  They light up my life in so many ways!  Their older brother Dean (13) is also pretty great!
This is my grandma.  She will probably kill me for putting this up, but I love it.
Since being at Evangel I have formed some of the best friendships I have ever had.  The family I have gained in past few years are near and dear to my heart.  Even though we are slowly starting to scatter around the world they have shown me what true friendship and love should look like.

This is my ‘heart friend’ Julie and I in Nebraska   —->
<—- These are my A-mazing suite mates and friends Alesha and Amy.  Simply irreplaceable, these two.
I have many other friends who are also near and dear to my  heart.  I will definitely post more pics soon.  In the meantime,  feel free to check out my facebook to see their beautiful faces!
I stumbled upon the World Race last spring via a dear friend of mine.  My friend and I met with a former racer for coffee one night and she was able to really give us a full picture of what the race was like for her.  After that, I kind of put it in the back of my mind.  Slowly, but surely, the idea kept creeping back into my mind and eventually I filled out the application.  I guess the rest is history.  All I can say is that I am so excited to have such a great opportunity to serve the nations!  I cannot wait to see how the Lord will use me and my team and what great things He will do in my life as a result of this trip.
