This past month has been full of changes and challenges, not only for me personally but also for my squad as a whole. Through this process, God has been so faithful to lead us and grow us. He has also blessed us with many opportunities to minister here in Romania. Over and over I am amazed to see how God can use us in spite of our brokenness and human limitations. In our weakness, Christ is strong and God is glorified most. I would like to share with you some of the times I have seen God move this past month.

Right after arriving at Casa Shalom, we were placed in charge of running a 4-day kids’ camp for approximately 30 kids. Each day we played games, sang songs, told Bible stories, made crafts, and performed dramas for the kids. We were so blessed to be able to show these kids Christ’s love and to share the Gospel with them.

In our second week of ministry we hosted a one-day kids’ camp for children from a nearby village, which was a condensed version of the first week’s camp. When we presented the Gospel, many of the kids raised their hands to accept Christ. The following day we were able to go to the village where these kids lived and continue to love them. My teammate, Warren, was also able to share the Gospel with a group of teenage boys, and one of them gave his life to the Lord as well. Praise God!

On two afternoons, a group of us was able to visit a home for abused and mentally-challenged women. We had a great time of singing songs, praying, coloring, and playing soccer and Frisbee with these beautiful women.

Another group from my squad had the opportunity to visit a local hospital, and God worked in an amazing way! As the group went around the hospital, praying and sharing the love of Christ, several people were healed of their illnesses and seven people gave their hearts to Christ!

On several days, we had no scheduled ministry, so we went out into the city in groups. We spent our time praying and asking God to lead us. God opened up doors for us to share His love with many people at the local park, to buy 50 hamburgers and give them to homeless people, and to pray over the city. God is advancing His Kingdom in the spite of the spiritual darkness that covers Bucharest.

Through these ministry opportunities, it was incredible to see how God moved and softened hearts to receive Him. When we are faithful in the small things, He is faithful in the big things. I am humbled and blessed that God would choose to use me and my squad to make a difference for the Kingdom. To Him be all the glory! Thank you for your continued prayers and support. They are definitely felt and much appreciated! None of this ministry would have been possible without each one of you. May God richly bless you as you continue to walk in obedience to Him.
