camp has flown by so quickly! On
Thursday my squad of 34 people was divided into five teams. My team decided that our name should be
Fuego, which means “fire” in Spanish. Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego passed through the fire in the
book of Daniel, so we are willing to pass through any fiery trial
together. Fire also represents the fire
of God. God’s fire burns through us, it
illuminates the darkness, it refines us to make us more like Christ, and it
consumes every part of us. Hebrews
12:28-29 is our team verse:
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that
cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably and with
reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire‘.”
brought us six people together for a reason and that the Holy Spirit’s
anointing is upon us. I can’t wait to go
out into the world with my new family and work together to see God’s Kingdom
come and His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. I believe that God will use each of our
unique gifts to bring glory to His name.
