Closing out Haiti is difficult for me to do. It was an awesome month not only working in the clinic, but also loving on the kids at Canaan. Canaan is a beautiful place with the ocean as our front yard (not really but we had a great view) and the edge of the mountains as our backyard. Yet with all the beauty around me, my favorite thing about Canaan was the community. Sister GIadys (founder of Canaan) provides a safe haven and opportunity not only for an education for children in Haiti, but an opportunity to grown up in a Christ centered environment. I have to admit I am sad to leave the Caribbean, but I am ready for the upcoming 3 months in Asia. The next country we will minister in is Cambodia.

So with that said our journey begins tomorrow morning, March 3rd, at 4:00 AM. We are currently back in the DR for debrief and as a squad of 54, we will head to the Santo Domingo airport. Tomorrow morning we fly from Santo Domingo to Miami and then Miami to LA. Praise God to be back in the states! Lol, it will only be for a night but my team is already plotting on the array of restaurants to choose from for our feast.

On Wednesday we have a 21 hour flight from Los Angeles to Bangkok, Thailand, however we will make a stop in Tokyo, in order to stretch our legs for a few moments and refuel. Once we get to Bangkok we then stay over night there and the next morning hop on a bus for 12 hours to Phenom Phen, Cambodia, our next destination of ministry.

Sooo of course I have some prayer requests. Please pray for no delays in our flights, no sickness during these next few days as we travel, as well as protection for our luggage (don’t want to lose my luggage again!)

I love you guys and appreciate all the comments, messages, emails, etc. It really helps…I will write again when I’m situated in Cambodia. Miss ya!
