Have you ever believed in something that most people would call you crazy for ?
Have you ever believed that God would work in unexplainable ways?
Have you ever believed he can really do it ?
I’d love to say I’ve fully believed that in the last 6 months, but there have been many moments of doubt , of feeling like I’ve heard it all wrong. But then God swoops in and reminds me that no matter what the outcome there’s a purpose to it all , the only thing I need to do is TRUST HIM.
God doesn’t ask for backflips and cartwheels. Instead he asks for us to say I’m in and I trust you no matter what .
In Romans 4:20-21 he says “no distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God , but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God , being fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised
Abraham trusted God and had faith in the promise made even though it wasn’t something ever seen Before . After all Abraham was very old as was Sarah ,yet God promised them a child .
I Think most people would have a reason to doubt that promise a bit, every earthly factor was against them But he didn’t waver, he had FAITH . he didn’t consider what God said , instead he considered the one saying it .
Last week I was at my home church and the lead pastor actually spoke about Abraham and Sarah , one sentence that stuck with me was
“If it’s unreasonable chances are it’s God ”
wow ! Just let that sink in ! It reminded me that he’s not calling us to the ordinary , but instead to the extraordinary !
So last night the most amazing thing happened he provided !
It all started with one friend who felt led to donate a large amount , which then confirmed to another friend to donate , which then led to her parents donating ,Which then led to another friend donating as well ! Craziness !
The most amazing thing about this is that it all started with one friend who took a leap of faith and trusted God and his prompting to donate ,which then launched 5 other people into helping as well .
It’s amazing to see how God uses one person to change so much , because of her faith many more chose IN and that means I get the amazing opportunity to go on the race and have an impact from there . One person choosing in causes a crazy amount more to choose in as well .
From the moment I applied for the race I never knew how God would provide , but all God ever said was “trust me ” so when I finally did I realized he doesn’t ask much of us , he just asks us to believe in what he has said . And to take a leap of faith into the unknown !
So what’s the leap of faith God is prompting you to do ?
Are you placing the facts of the situation over the truth of what God says ?
What would happen if we all took the leap of faith God is asking us to take ?
