my name is Ashley, i’m 23 years old and i live in Welland Canada. i am the youngest of four children. And probably the one that gives my parents the most grey hairs . I love to experience new things ,places and people . Which usually means I’m not in my safe little bubble . But I love it this way ! There’s so much of the world to see and I can’t wait to experience it all !
i will be graduating in December with a diploma in early childhood education I have worked at a french childcare center for 5 years and i love it, children have always been a part of my life. I would love to work in an orphanage one day, my heart has always ached for children who don’t know the love that is available to them .
I’ve been attending lakemount for almost a year and I’ve met the most amazing group of young adults who are so hungry for God , i will miss them so much . they have completely changed the way i see the world and how life should be lived.
I accepted Jesus after attending lakemount for 3 months and i was baptized 4 months later, that was the beginning of me stepping out in faith and trusting that God would give me the courage to do things that scared me. and he did! then he kept asking me to do things that i wasn’t comfortable doing, through those experiences i realized life is so much more fun outside of my comfort zone .
I enjoy my quiet time (which i’m taking advantage of before the race) i love hiking , i’m always up for an adventure . i love music and camping (which is a great thing for race )
