Well, hello my dear friends, family, and supporters.

I want to thank you again for all your love, support, and prayers for me while I was able to serve around the world on the World Race this past year. I have now been home for 7+ months and I thought it was about time to update you and my life.

I had all of these great intentions of blogging when I returned to the states and I still have moments in my life where I think, Wow…that would make a good blog. Then one of those 8 thousand distractions comes up and I never get to it. Today I decided to push aside of the distractions (including forgetting to fast forward the commercials during American Idol) and send out an update. So get excited!

Life has been busy but a ton of fun! I became a member at a new church where I’ve gotten involved teaching Middle School youth group and 7th-8th grade Sunday School.

In August and September I spent most of my time catching up with friends and family in Michigan. And my bestest friend from high school had a beautiful baby girl!

October came along and I got to visit my best friend from the race in New Jersey and visit NYC for the first time in my life.

I was able to catch up with most of my squad from the World Race in December when my squad leader got married in Cincinnati which was AMAZING!

Since then, I’ve been living at home and working at my old school as a substitute teacher which I have been really enjoying. I get to hang out with awesome students, a great staff, and eat lunch every day with my mom! This coming week is spring break and I get to spend it backpacking in West Virginia and visiting an old college friend.

A question I get asked a lot is, “Oh hey, Ashley. What’s next for you?”. Well, I have a short term plan. I’m excited to officially announce that I will be going back overseas on the mission field this summer! Blog coming soon with more details!
