Meet team Momentum!
Well, it’s that time of the World Race again where we change
things up a bit and get new teams! This time around the leaders mixed us up
real good and we are living life these last three months with new people.
This time around God has called me into a leadership role
and I will be serving as the team’s leader. I have an amazing team of four
other beautiful women of God. I am so excited to be living life in community
with them, to grow with them, and to learn from them. I know that God’s got
great things in store for our team so please check out our blogs to see what He
is doing.
Now for an intro to our team….
MICHELLE COOK
Michelle and I have been on a team together since month four
in Cambodia.
She has been one of my best friends and greatest supporters on the race. She is
extremely kind and loving and she even lets me call her “grandma” because she’s
the oldest on our team and cooks me food and sews things for me. I’m also
excited that she’s taken on the role of our financial guru and will be taking
care of all of our money. Trust me, that’s not an easy task!
CHANDLER
COLLINS
Chandler
has a great heart. She is basically a rockstar. Throughout the race we’ve hung
out a bit and I’m so excited that I get to learn from her and know her at a
deeper level. She is a baller and can take anyone on the basketball court so
don’t mess with her. Also, one of my first memories of her is from training
camp where she carried me on her back up this giant hill in the 100 degree heat
of Georgia
so our team could win some game. She is determined and doesn’t give up.
JENNILEE BAIRD
Jennilee is incredible. She has a heart of gold and a
catdog. I just learned about the cat she has that’s like a dog. She is a
beautiful daughter of Christ and lives out her faith daily. She encourages me
to dig deeper and listen to what God is saying to me. She’s great and I’m
honored to be able to be her teammate.
CASSIE FLETT
Some of you might remember Cassie. She was on my original
team, Ants, for the first three months of the race. Cass is a gifted musician.
I’ve never seen anyone play the guitar like she does. She is hilarious and I
don’t go a day with her without laughing. She has one of the most giving hearts
of anyone I’ve ever met. I love that about her. Cass is humble and gives all
the glory to God.
these last three months. Our goal for the team is to use the energy and
strength that God has given us to love on the people of Nepal, Ukraine,
and Romania.
Just because we’ve been gone for 8 months and are getting tired, it doesn’t
mean that we can’t give these countries what we gave the Philippines or Thailand. Our name is a reminder
that God is going to give us the strength and we will us that to energize us
through the end of the race!
