SEVEN HUNDRED
High school students
No matter how you
write that number it’s a lot.
On Sunday I had the
opportunity to share in a chapel service with that many high school men.
Talk about
intimidating.
Not a sole to been seen.

Then the mad dash
arrived. The students can from out of nowhere. Literally they were flowing into
the meeting room.
Sheer panic hit me.
the massive amounts of armpit sweat I had.

We prayed together.
Never have I preached
in front of more than 30 people and that was in a remote village in the jungle.
Here I faced 700 high
school men in an African school and was told to fill the 30 minutes with a
message.
teller. Not a preacher.

God had different
plans that day.
As I stood in front
of these students an overwhelming sense of peace hit me. I knew that the Holy
Spirit was going to speak through me.
God took care of my
fears.
God’s love with these students.

I used my story to
relate to them.
They laughed. They
listened. They laughed more.
My team and I did a
drama to visually show them God’s love.
It was powerful.
I shared some more
about God’s love.
listened. They came to Christ.
