I can’t believe I’m in Africa.
I’ve always dreamed of being able to visit Africa
and serve the Lord in some capacity there. Know I’m here and beyond excited.
It’s been less than a week and I’ve already seen God working in incredible
ways!

My team is working in the capital of Kenya – Nairobi.
Yes, there is a National park with zebras, lions, rhinos, and giraffes down the
street from where we live. Be jealous : ) We are working with Deliverance Church
Langata serving alongside their evangelism team.

Our first two days of ministry consisted of going
door-to-door in the neighborhood near the church sharing the gospel with
residents, inviting them to church, and praying for them. Day one two of my teammates
were able to share the Gospel and one woman prayed a prayer of salvation!
Hallelujah! Angels are rejoicing in Heaven.

Day two I went with one of the interns, John, of the church.
The first lady to answer her door was very receptive of the Gospel as I shared
with her how much God loves her and how Jesus died for us. After an hour of
talking and praying she decided to become a Christian and I got to lead her in
a prayer of salvation! Hallelujah! Angels continue to rejoice in Heaven. She’ll
be joining us at church Sunday. She’s got a Bible and is ready to live life for
the Lord. John and I were super excited all day yesterday!

I love seeing how when we are bold in our faith and hold
nothing back God can be seen. When we are shy and afraid of being rejected
God’s love is held inside us and others can’t benefit from hearing the Gospel.
Trust me, I was scared to death to approach Kenyans and share God’s love with
them, but if we keep God’s greatness to ourselves others will never know about
Jesus. I challenge you, today, to share the Gospel with a stranger. Pray that
God places someone in your path to share with. I’d love to hear how that goes
for you!
