Meet Samath
A.K.A. Mr. Clean. Samath translated into English is clean
and that is how I gave him a nickname.

Center. His smile and joy
lights up the classroom. He seems to always be in a good mood. He is hilarious.
He lets me ride his bicycle. Oh yeah, and he is Buddhist.

Ask him why he believes in Buddha and he’ll reply because
his parents do. Ask him what he believes and he doesn’t really have an answer.
The other day I asked him if he believed in God. He said
that he believed that God is bigger and better
than Buddha. That God is the
creator of the universe. He said that
Jesus died for our sins. I asked if he really believed that and if so, did
he want to become a Christian? He said no. He wants to be Buddhist in fear of
what his family and village would think.
God is alive and working in young adult lives. I love that
they are at such an impressionable age and really want to discover their
religion for themselves.
Please join with me in praying for Mr. Clean. Pray for
salvation. Pray against fear. Pray that he sees and accepts himself in God’s
image. Please pray that he knows that he is loved by a king and that king is
God.
