   no exaggeration. And they have great
   hot ham and cheese sandwiches and chocolate milk…a little taste of home.
2. Around
   95% of the Thai population is Buddhist.
3. The
   King in Thailand
   is highly respected. When asked what you think of him, you simply reply,
   “He is a good man.”
4. Nobody
   waves in Thailand.
   Their greeting is called the “wai”. It is done by placing your hands palm
   to palm and raising them to the face. 
5. To say
   hello in Thai, women say Sawatdee Kha and men say Sawatdee Khrap.
6. Thailand
   is known as “The Land of Smiles”.
7. You
   can find the most delicious fresh fruit smoothies anywhere for less than
   fifty American cents.
8. Many
   of the Thai university students that I encountered are super shy and are
   lying if they tell you they don’t know English.
9. BBQ
   ribs at The Sizzler Restaurant is a very good choice of Thanksgiving meal
   if grandma’s home cooking isn’t available.
10. Singing
    Jingle Bells in the intense heat while visiting an elderly lady who lives
    in the slums can bring a smile to anyone’s face.
