Expectations…
I have recently learned to dislike expectations as things tend to come up short of my expectations. I even tried to lower my expectations, but I always seem to end up dissatisfied. But, I almost think it’s impossible not to have expectations for something as grand as a World Race, and my expectations are overflowing. Here are just a few.
I Expect…
- To be challenged more than I’ve ever before
- To fall even more in love with God
- To see the brokenness of this world
- To miss my family like crazy
- To miss my friends
- To try and love (or hate) new foods
- To learn to be ok without taking showers daily
- To rely completely on God in every situation
- To make new lifelong friends
- To be scared
- To live life simply
- To be transformed
- To laugh
- To cry
- To be broken
- To learn and experience the power of pray
- That God will blow all of my expectations out of the water!
Blessed is the man who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed
