"Rejoice in me always. This is a momet-by-moment choice. It is possible to find Joy in Me even during the most difficult times. Because i am always near, I am constantly available to help you." Sarah Young – Jesus Calling

I know it has been a while since I last blogged, it has been a busy several weeks. To try and catch you up to speed just a bit, Costa Rica was amazing. Somewhere I could see myself returning to one day. The Lord allowed us to be part of an awesome ministry and I was able to use my gifting in cosmetology to provide haircuts for children as they participated in a back to school sponsorship program. This was a highlight of month one for me! Some of the girls that came through had never had their hair cut before and to see their reaction and response as they looked in the mirror at their new hair cut or style, overwhelmed me with emotion. How great is The Lord that he would grant me opportunity to use the gifts that he has given me in order to be able to bless others and to serve those who are less fortunate.

To give you a short update of what has taken place between Costa Rica and now, well over a month of time. Towards the end of our time in Costa Rica, I began to experience intense abdominal pain along with several other symptoms. After two very interesting visits to the emergency room, large out of pocket expenses, consulting with my doctors at home in the United States and much prayer, seeking direction from The Lord, I knew that I needed to fly home. On February 2nd, I stood outside our team housing in Costa Rica waving goodbye to my team as they left for Nicaragua and that afternoon made my way to the airport to fly home. On the plane home I journaled as I tried to be content and hold back the tears that were overtaking my eyes. "I am not sure what you are doing, but I hope in the fact that you are sovereign, I trust that this is no mishap, accident or mistake that I am flying home. Before I ever signed up for the world race you knew this was to come. You are orchestrating every single little detail making sure to take care of me your daughter. I am not sure of all you are doing, but I know i simply want more of you Jesus. Lord, you confuse me sometimes in the midst of my willingness and obedience to you, you send detours which cant be fully understood in the present moment but i place my faith in the promise fo your word that you are working all things together for my good and I will bring all glory and praise to you amidst this trial".

As I write this blog I realize that it is now mid- March and I have done a really poor job at updating you my friends and supporters about what The Lord has been doing. I plan on posting a series of blogs to come which will be entitled, "If I flew home for no other reason it was for this".  I think its just as important that I share with you what The Lord did while I was at home as it is that I continue to update you on what is taking place here on the mission field.

I was blessed with three extremely busy weeks at home, where I walked in the complete favor of God.  After many doctors appointments, tests and procedures, the doctor sat me down and explained that he cant explain what is causing my abdominal pain. After discussing the worst case scenarios for a few minutes I decided that I would be content not knowing what is causing the pain in my side, and I would return with my team and continue to trust God. So on February 23rd I got on a plane and headed south towards Nicaragua to meet back up with and be reunited with my team. I was able to spend a beautiful week in Palacaguina, Nicaragua before packing up and heading to Honduras. My first few days back on the world race were really overwhelming, but Surprisingly as a whole the transition has been a lot easier then it was the first time. Ministry this month has been completely focused around the local church and body of Christ. We visit houses every morning and pray with people, many times finding opportunities to share our testimonies of how Christ has radically changed our lives.  In the evenings we teach english and attend church services, sometimes singing for them, bringing a testimony and most definitely prayer!

I will write more soon i promise! Thanks for your love! If I can figure out how to post pictures in my blog, which I know can be done, I would love to send some photos and stories your way of the ministry we have been doing this month!
