Dear Family and Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well! I am writing to let you know about some new things that are quickly taking place in my life. It is with great excitement (and a bit of fear); I share with you that I will leave in January 2013 to serve as a missionary through an organization called Adventures in Missions.

As many of you know I took a year off from Liberty University to attend cosmetology school. Upon graduation last October I took a full time job as a hairstylist pursuing a fantastic career opportunity. Through this salon I was extended the privilege of attending a select Paul Mitchell training in Hawaii to further my education. In the midst of what should have been great, I felt God gently pulling on the strings of my heart sending me in another direction while using what I had learned.

Through a series of events God kept stirring and placing within me a desire to truly allow Jesus to command my destiny, seeking first the kingdom of Heaven and allowing the Gospel to penetrate all areas of my life.

The result of those events is that soon I will be embarking on a trip they call The World Race, traveling to 11 different countries in 11 months! On the World Race my team will serve in partnership with churches and local ministries to preach the Gospel. With my team, I will also be directly involved in helping women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, working with orphaned children, and planting new churches.

All this will be done in an effort to bring the hope and restoration of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I am thankful for the opportunity to use my gifts and abilities that God has given me. Through my training in cosmetology and my experience at Liberty University I will be able to share Christ’s love through simple but essential care such as haircuts, shampoos, and basic hygiene!

I am writing to ask you to partner with me through prayer and financial support. I must raise at least $15,500, as required by Adventures in Missions, to participate in The World Race and my support must be fully funded by June 30, 2013. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation. Would you pray and consider supporting me monthly?

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at: www.ashleybrady.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.

I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year. I hope to be a blessing to those I serve and also to you. I will be honored to go as your representative to proclaim Jesus to the nations of the world. Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support as you partner with me in this ministry. Please subscribe to my blog www.ashleybrady.theworldrace.org. This blog will allow you to follow me and keep up with all the things the Lord is doing as I prepare and then serve for eleven months.

Joyfully,

Ashley Lynn Brady
