Hey everyone! I know I have been a little MIA recently and thought it was about time that I give a little update.

My time in Cambodia has been quite a whirlwind. The country is beautiful, hot as can be, and full of a dark history. Our team gets to work with an organization called Crossing Cambodia, which cares for street kids. My first day in Battambang I got to hear an inspiring vision of the ministry, ride a bamboo train (Daddy, you would have loved it), eat delicious food, and…. Go to the hospital. Not for me, but to meet up with a squadmate who was in an accident and broke her elbow. (She is doing fine and finally got surgery, praise God)!

Ever since June 1st I have been helping out with this situation, and it has been go go go. I hope to post a blog very soon with more insight into how I have processed the first 9 days of this month (longest 9 days of my life). I just wanted to touch base and let you all know the happenings on this side of the world.

I am finally back with my team, have rested the past two days, and am excited to jump into ministry tomorrow. Thank you for all of your prayers and encouraging messages and love.

Believe it or not, I have hit the halfway point of my Race! Can you believe it? I have caught myself, in the craziness and exhaustion of the past week, daydreaming of going home, silently cursing the heat, and losing the will to fight.

But today God brought me back to Psalm 91, the passage He gave me on 3 or 4 separate occasions before the race as a solid foundation to stand on when things get hard. And I want you all to know, my vigor to fight through the hard and seek Jesus (even when watching Gilmore Girls has seemed more appealing) is renewed. He is ALWAYS worth fighting through for. And the fight must be more than gritted teeth and a will to survive. The battle is only truly won when we fight with praise, joy, peace, and proclaiming truth!

Yes, I am halfway done with my Race. But I refuse to give up, to cave in to weariness. The Lord will renew my strength again and again, day after day, because His strength is inexhaustible.

I will post a more detailed blog as soon as I can. In the words of Tigger, TTFN (ta-ta for now)!

P.S. Remember my squad mates and dear friends Adam and Janelly? They met their fundraising deadline last month, which is a huge praise! They have a new deadline this month of $14,000. They are trusting God’s provision and hoping to go beyond that and raise the full $16,500! Please consider making a one time donation to them. Janelly’s birthday is the end of this month and I know she could not ask for a better gift than to be fully funded and not have to worry about this anymore! You are all the best!
