From where I stand I can see the faces of children willing to learn. I can feel their hugs as they leave camp everyday, and their wonderful laughter as they play wholeheartedly along with every game these foreigners throw at them. I believe it might be an understatement to say that I am happy to be in Europe and that I am completely, head-over-heels in love with Ukraine.

There is something very special about this country and its people. It's something that has really made me question my actions with the people in my life. You see, the people in this country have a true heart for the relationships they have with people. Evenings are spent filling their small flats with as many people as they can, just enjoying time together. They are genuinely interested in each other. They want to talk, they want to get to know you and spend time with you.

I truly feel at home here. It's like friends and family that I never want to part with. I'm certain they are pouring into me more than I could ever pour into them!
It's something I really want to take home with me. I want to be someone that asks about a friend's day and really listens and cares what they say. I want to have a bunch of people to my house just to spend time together. I want to take in the people in my life and truly know who they are. Honestly, it isn't so hard just to love people a little more than I already do. And when we take the time to appreciate the people we do life with everyday, we have the opportunity to be a light to them.
P.S. As the end of the race is approaching (only a month and a half left!) I might only be posting a blog or two more on this sight. But if you are invited to continue following along side of me in my journey with the Lord on my personal blog. (theshiftingground.wordpress.com) I write on there more often and I believe it's a lot more intimate and vulnerable at times. So feel free to check and out and subscribe. Thank you all so much for all of your support on this amazing life God has blessed me with.
Forever His,
Ashley
