Ever since I got home from the Worldrace God has taught me more and more about forgiveness. Now most of the time when I would hear a preacher talk about forgiveness it was always about how I need to forgive people that have hurt me. So I was really surprised when God told me that I need to learn to ask people for forgiveness. He has showed me that in the past my PRIDE has gotten in the way of asking people to forgive me for things that I have done wrong to them.
After much prayer I asked God to open my eyes to when I wronged someone and needed to ask forgiveness. I also asked that he showed me the right time to ask them for forgiveness.
This past week I had to apologize twice to family members for having a bad attitude. when God brought it to my attention I went to my room and asked God for forgiveness first and then asked what I should say to them.
Did you know that when I was done asking them for forgiveness they both said “thank you but you didn’t have to do that I’m used to it from everyone.” That’s when it hit me that Christians along with the world have become a generation that doesn’t say sorry anymore. That we don’t own up to what we have done to hurt our brothers and sisters. LETS BE THE PEOPLE THAT CHANGE THAT!!
I am glad and excited that God has opened my eyes to see that my Pride was getting in my way of loving the people around me.
