God has been calling me “out and up” the past couple of days. He knows how much I hate blogging and yet he still decided to tell me that I am to blog every day. That I am suppose to share with you what it is that God is teaching me. I just keep reminding myself that God never said it would be easy but he did say that he would give me the strength to do it. I hope and pray that you will continue on this journey with me.

Today God talked to me about LOVE!!! My reading today was Matthew 5: 43-48

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[b] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

God was telling me that I do a great job at loving and encouraging people that love and encourage me back but that I need to learn how to love and encourage people that persecuting me. I was talking to our squad coaches and they helped put things into a new light for me. The people that persecute you have a good heart because that heart is made after Jesus’s own heart. They are just in a spiritual battle that is making them act the way that they do. Learning that made the scales fall off of my eyes when it comes to loving them.

Tonight I will be praying for the people who are in a spiritual battle that God gives them the tools and people they need to be able to fight the spiritual battle they are in. That God will give me the wisdom and guidance to encourage and love them in the way that they need it!!

Who in your life is clearly going through some spiritual battles? How can you be praying for them and showing them love??
