These past ten days God has been blowing all my expectations of him out of the water. He has told me over and over again that in these 11 months he is going to spoil me! That he is going to find some way to show me that he loves me. that he see that I am being obedient and seeking him in all that I do and he is going to reward that!
Let me tell you a little about how he has been spoiling me! We are so blessed to be in Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica, which is right on the beach. We are in a tourist part of the town so some of the people speak English but not all. We are working with this amazing Godly women who runs a community center in the town! God has called her to open it up to all types of Godly activities. I look at that place and see how God is using it to be a light in a dark community! how he is using what we are doing with the women ministries that we are putting on to be a light to them! tomorrow we are doing facial and massages for ladies that normally don’t get to be shown any appreciating at all. We will get the chance to pray with them but to also just listen to them! and lets be honest here, everyone wants someone to just listen to them! this is just one of the many ministries that we are doing that is very rewarding.
The work that God ahs done in my heart these 10 days is the most wonderful part! he has gave me this hunger for him that I can’t explain. every spare minute that we have I am reading the bible or praying to him! He is constantly calling me to pray for people and this community! I have grown to know him more then I thought I ever would and I have only been on this journey for 10 days!! I can’t wait to see what he is going to do with the other 10 months!!
my bible verse I am memorizing this week is Colossians 3:12-17
therefore, as Gods chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness,humility,gentlesness and patience. bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. forgive as the lord forgave you. and over all there virtues put on love, which binds them together in perfect unity. let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. and be thankful. let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalm, hynms and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to god. and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the lord jesus, giving thanks to god the father through him.
