Today, God completed a full circle and I was able to be up front and center for it!
**Lynda and I have this thing that we started when God does something crazy- which is all the time!**
One of us will look at the other and say, “Are you surprised?”
And the other one will answer, “NO!”
The girl that lives in the same city that I live in, Lynda, went to Cost Rica two years ago for a study abroad program. God called her there. She didn’t know why. She wasn’t even that fond of English.
Lynda met some World Racers in Costa Rica at that time.
ONE of the reasons that God had her in Costa Rica was for the World Race.
ONE of the reasons that God had her on the World Race was for ME! So, this is a VERY IMPORTANT subject for me. 🙂
Before Lynda and I went to training camp, we knew that we would not be on the same team. Before we launched for the World Race though, I knew that she and I would be together on the Race.
In month 5, Lynda was raised up as a squad leader. The squad leaders trained for the 5th month and then spent normally one month with one team for the rest of the Race.
L Squad has 6 teams.
In month 5, January, it just happened that Lynda spent my birthday with me! Her two days with my team just happened to fall on my birthday!! (I already wrote a blog about that :))
“Are you surprised?”
“NO!”
That was the first time Lynda and I got to take an adventure by ourselves! The only other time that Lynda and I adventured by ourselves was today.
Let me tell you why it worked out. (Besides the fact that God did it for us.)
Lynda was going to come and be with our team the second half of last month. When the time got closer for her to come, she wasn’t feeling peace about it. After praying, she decided not to come. She felt like she was supposed to come to our team this month.
En Fuego.
One out of six teams.
Our team is working with 6:8 Ministries this month. We are working on the Ranch that they have out here. When we got to Costa Rica, our contact told us that due to flooding, the roads to the Ranch were not passable. We needed to hang out in the city for a couple of days.
The ONE team that didn’t go right to their ministry site.
Because we were in the city for a couple of days, we were able to explore, rest, do whatever.
Last night, we were able to meet up with some of Lynda’s friends from here for dinner!
Today, Lynda and I were able to go and visit her Costa Rican host mother!
Today, Lynda and I walked on the roads that she walked on two years ago! Today, we visited the university that she took classes at two years ago. Today, we walked past the track that she worked out at two years ago. Today, we rode buses that she rode two years ago. Today, we walked into the house that she lived in two years ago. Today, we ate at the counter that she ate at two years ago. Today, we walked into the bedroom she stayed in two years ago. Today, we went into the pastry shop that she went to two years ago.
God brought Lynda full circle and I was right there with her.
“Are you surprised?”
“NO!”
He started the World Race in Lynda’s life two years ago and today we walked in the same place- the 11th of 11 months on the World Race!
“Are you surprised?”
“NO!”
Another neat fact is that last year in June, when Lynda and I met, we talked about Costa Rica. She told me her stories about Costa Rica. I heard stories about the people that I met last night and today. We knew that Costa Rica was supposed to be the last country on our Race. That night in June last year, I prayed that I would be able to meet those people with Lynda in Costa Rica.
God answered that prayer with a Yes, and in the last 24 hours- I’ve lived that answer to that prayer from a year ago!!
“Are you surprised?”
“NO!”
Not at all.
Absolutely not!
