Last Sunday we had some testimonies from squadmates during church in Montenegro.
Yupp, church in
Montenegro.
Acacia got up and shared a testimony about a vision she had seen while she was on a different mission trip.
The vision was a picture of Jesus and the Father started changing the image around and the outcome was a picture of herself!
It’s almost been a week since Acacia shared and I cannot stop thinking about the fact that our great, almighty Father God is inside of us! We are made in HIS image.
God looks at us, as Christians, and calls us beautiful. We are perfect. He sees His beloved son when He looks at us.
Comparison is a big thing that our squad has been dealing with this entire race. We know that there is no room for it amongst us- God doesn’t want us comparing ourselves with others. We are holy and set apart in His sight. We know that it is something that we should not even worry about, something we shouldn’t even deal with. We know in our hearts that comparison is dumb- but in our heads- it is super easy to compare.
I also know that this is not just something that is a big deal to my squad and teammates. I know that comparison is not something that just a few people struggle with. I know that comparison can be talked and talked about- we even agree that it is wrong- but we still compare daily.
Well, I just wanted to add this into the arsenal of weapons to fight comparison off with.
We are made in the image of GOD ALMIGHTY.
I AM.
JEHOVAH.
FATHER.
KING OF KINGS.
By looking in the mirror and complaining about our looks, we are complaining about God’s creation.
We are dissing God and saying that He created something flawed.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t really want to be offending the Omnipotent Savior like that.
I’ll go even further and say
If we are made in the image of God- if it’s like Acacia’s vision-
by looking at ourselves in the mirror or beside someone else and complaining about flaws and faults
we are saying that our SAVIOR is flawed.
BOOM.
Chew on that.
Let it sink in.
Comparison is a witch. It happens all the time. It’s no way to live our lives.
Let’s keep this in our heads and use it as a weapon.
A weapon against comparison.

Also, I am only $1000 away from being fully funded! Praise the Lord!! If you feel led to give to my journey, any amount is so appreciated! Thank you so much for all the love and support that I’ve been given!
This trip could not happen without you!! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! <3
