The other evening, my team and I were just sitting around in the church that we have our tents set up in. We call it the Mines of Moria- just Mine for short- thank you Werness :))

I don’t know why, but, we started talking about when we return to American. …really jumping that gun…

We talked about how there was going to be so much to do, so much to talk about, as Werness put it, “everyone is going to be wanting to touch us- and all we’ll want to do is sleep”. And then we started talking about that song, Wake Me Up When September Ends. This is the end of September. We should sing it to each other.

But Seriously,

September is coming to a close. Month one on the World Race is over. We have completed one eleventh- a short month though it may be with the later launch- of our race. It’s a little crazy.

This month- three weeks, whichever you prefer- has been the fastest span of time ever!

At the same time, it’s been really long too. Our days here have been filled with so much. We constantly sit down, as a team at the end of the day, and have to remind each other what all we did that day.

We’ve met so many people, built so many relationships, done so many new things, seen so many sights, killed so many bugs, ate so many Beneighs, taught so many games, sung so many songs, loved so many children- we’ve done so much yet it seems like such a short time.

When we went to Siem Reap the other day, we ran into another squad. Second generation Z squad. They are just finishing their ninth month. I asked the few that we met if they had any advice for some first month racers. One of the girls said, “be intentional”. I asked her what she meant by that, who are you saying to be intentional with? She said to be intentional with everything. With our host, our team, our ministry, the kids we meet, our time with Jesus- be intentional with it all. Don’t put off something today because you could do it tomorrow. Time will pass you by and you may wish that there was something that you had done that you let pass by.

So, for all of you praying for me, all of you praying for my team, all of you praying for my squad- please pray that we are intentional with what we do. Pray that we are fully present with what is before us. Pray that we don’t let opportunities pass us by. Pray that we are open and willing to be used exactly how God wants to use us.

I want to take a second to say thank you for all the support. Thank you for financially supporting me. Thank you for prayerfully supporting me. Thank you for your encouraging words. Thank you for reading my blog. Thank you for commenting on my posts. Thank you for being in my life. Thank you for joining me in this journey for the Kingdom!

I love you all!
