I just would like to share a story about how cool my God is.
****************************************************
First, I’m going to share and define some WR lingo. (WR= World Race)
So, in signing up for the World Race, the applicant chooses a specific route. The route is the specific 11 countries. In September, when I launch (when I leave), there are 5 routes.
Those applicants that sign up for the certain route, become a squad. A squad will typically have 40-50 members.
Training camp is a week of intense training (few showers, hikes, limited belongings, brokenness, tons of worship!) that racers take part in a month before they launch. Training camp can either take place in Georgia- where AIM (Adventures in Missions) is located- or in Tennessee. On a side note, my training camp is in July… I know that there will be one or more training camp blogs… Look out! :))
At training camp, our squad is divided into teams. The teams will be comprised of 6-7 people. These are the people that will be together for the 11 months. During the trip, the teams will probably change. Once or twice– not much.

Now for the awesome story!
My squad has a little over 50 people on it. We have people from ALL over the country…
Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, California, New York…
… we have two from Canada…
ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. Let that sink in.
In my squad, there are three people from GREENVILLE, SC.
Let that sink in.
I didn’t know either of the other Greenville natives on my route- BUT I had connections, mutual friends, etc. in common with them!
Let that sink in.
Last week. The other girl that is on my squad, that lives in my town, whom I haven’t met because she was in another city for school, gets a job. The SAME job that I get, the SAME week! Did I say that we hadn’t met? Hadn’t talked- other than, “yeah, we will meet up when we are both in the same town… later down the road.”
Let that sink in.
Neither of us had sought this job out. God handed this job to both of us. Coincidence? I think not! I KNOW not!!
Let that sink in.
After work the day that we met, we were able to hang out. We felt like we had known each other forever. We shared our stories, prayed together, ate ice cream. Lol, I had to add the ice cream part… since we already know that I love it :)) I can say honestly, that after that initial time of meeting her, I love her!
I can honestly say that I KNOW that God has carefully and specifically placed each person on L squad (my squad). I can honestly say that I LOVE my squad! Specifically to my squad: I LOVE you ALL soo much already!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We also went and watched God’s Not Dead a couple days later, thus inspiring this blog’s title. Fantastic movie! And that whole experience was a God thing- we arrived 20 minutes late- the theater was locked. We weren’t supposed to be able to get in- but the people let us in. We were 20 minutes late and previews are normally only 5 minutes at that theater. Buuuttt they had JUST gotten digital- so previews took longer. We walked in during the beginning credits!
God is alive in all aspects of your life. You just need to look for Him- keep your eyes open. And those moments, that God removes blinders and lets you understand and see how He is moving, they are AWEsome!! SUCH a blessing/encouragement! So my challenge is to actively listen and look for our LIVING God in your life!
