“Do anything in me, that You might do everything You want through me”
This prayer signified the start of Training Camp. The first night, after meeting our squads and setting up our tents in the red Georgia dirt, Q sQuad headed down to the training center for the start of training camp. The first session began with some teaching and worship, and then, as we were instructed to begin the week by inviting the Holy Spirit into this place and into ourselves, I was overcome with a specific peace that this was exactly where I was supposed to be.
And here I am today, over a week later, sitting in my comfy bed in Dallas, beginning to process everything that has happened over the past week, and God is reaffirming this message over and over again.
So, what did I learn at Training Camp?
– The Holy Spirit will show up. Whether it comes in the subtle whisper of my heart or in the singing voice of one of my teammates, the Holy Spirit is as real and present today as it was in the lives of the disciples. In my daily life, I have to learn to expect the Holy Spirit without agenda – without any preconceived notions of what that presence is going to look like.
– Abandonment and brokenness work for our good and the good of God. In order to fully soak in all that the Race has to offer, abandonment is very important. By acknowledging and appropriately grieving the things that I am leaving behind in order to fulfill something greater, I will create space in my heart for God to fill. He can only fill space that is there, and the vulnerability that brokenness creates allows us to meet God’s grace with complete dependence on Him.
– We are equipped with the knowledge and tools to perform miracles. Christ performed all of His miracles in His Spirit- driven humanity, and not His divinity. Over the next year, I joyfully await the time when I see new lives committed to Jesus, chains and burdens lifted off the oppressed, and God’s love and grace cover the nations.
– The people that God has called to journey beside me are incredible, God-fearing individuals with their hearts on fire for the Lord.
Here is my sQuad, of 55 AMAZING men and women who I will be traveling with to all 11 countries.
And this is my team of 7 women completely and totally in love with Jesus. We have named ourselves “Daughters Ablaze” because it is our mission to ignite hearts across the world. Not just to touch them, but because of the greatness of our God, to spread a consuming passion of love and grace for Him.
Finally, I am humbled and could not be more excited to announce that I AM FULLY FUNDED!! Thank you to everyone who has generously donated and prayed for me over the past couple of months. God is so amazing, and I am so overwhelmed with love that I can barely contain myself! I will be posting soon about how to continue to support my journey, but in the meantime, spread the word and check out my team, Daughters Ablaze, by clicking on the link to the left. I still have many teammates who need support for the next deadline.
I LOVE YA’LL and GOD BLESS
