“17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” – 1 Timothy 6:17-19

Words can not describe how grateful and overwhelmed I am. This is exactly where God has me and I thank him everyday that he has put each and everyone of you in my life. “so let go my soul and trust in him. It is well with my soul.”
This time last year I was lost and terrified about my future. I didn’t know what I wanted to do or If God even had a plan with my life. The moment when my mom came home from work to tell me about this program it was God stepping in and guiding me for his plan. Through doubt and anxiousness waiting to be contacted, wondering “what if i’m not good enough for this trip” & “if they truly wanted me they would of contacted me a couple of days ago.” When I received the call of acceptance I wept out of happiness and knowing God has a plan for my life. At that moment I gave everything over to God; all of my worries, anxiousness, doubt, and ever since that day Ive been changed. So today when I added up online and cash donations I felt that same feeling when I received that call. I’m siting here crying, overwhelmed by the realization that I am going on this trip to shout and tell everyone I meet about his greatness.
This song means so much to me and I urge you to read and listen to these lyrics.
“O Come To The Altar”- Elevation worship
[Verse 1:]
Are you hurting and broken within
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin
Jesus is calling
Have you come to the end of yourself
Do you thirst for a drink from the well
Jesus is calling
[Chorus:]
O come to the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ
[Verse 2:]
Leave behind your regrets and mistakes
Come today there’s no reason to wait
Jesus is calling
Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy
From the ashes a new life is born
Jesus is calling
[Chorus x2:]
O come to the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ
[Bridge x2:]
Oh what a Savior
Isn’t he wonderful
Sing alleluia, Christ is risen
Bow down before him
For he is Lord of all
Sing alleluia, Christ is risen
[Chorus x2:]
O come to the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ
[Verse 3:]
Bear your cross as you wait for the crown
Tell the world of the treasure you’ve found
