The awesome people that are my squad mates, and who will become my family in about three months, decided to put together a little facts sheet about ourselves so that everyone could get to know us better. Hereee goesss.

Memory: honestly this past year was one amazing memory as I’ve seen God’s endless love, faithfulness, and blessings in my life. He used this year to communicate very clearly and directly with me about my future, what His promises to me are, and how preciously He adores me and holds me to Him. Having such open two way communication with Him has been a wild but amazing ride that has created so many beautiful memories. I can't even put in to words how wonderful it's been.

Quote: “Jesus isn’t in love with the future version of you. He loves you perfectly the way you are right now.” I don’t even know if that’s a quote from something but my friend Olivier tweeted it and I really liked it haha another great one: “God sometimes leads His people around the long way. Not because He’s holding out, but because He still needs to take us through some stages of preparation.”

Scripture: “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:11)

Season: fall, I've always loved November for some reason

Sport to play: rugby!

Sport to watch: football, ice hockey, basketball

Sports Team: Ravens… funny story – my best friend from freshman year of college, Derek, told me to like the Ravens because that was his favorite team. I told him I was content being a bandwagoner and not picking any one team. Then he told me their colors were purple and black. I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since.

Random Questions!

Best Vacation: when my family took five weeks in the summer of 2010 to drive out to California and camp all along the way in our pop up camper in some pretty cool places. That was a great trip.

#1 on your bucket list: besides being a wife one day… being able to look back on life on my deathbed, have no regrets, feel that I lived life to the fullest, done all the crazy things one normally has on a bucket list, and be able to say to God “I used everything you gave me, and experienced everything you threw at me.”

What fictional character do you relate most to? Angel/Amanda from “Redeeming Love.” It’s a retelling of the book of Hosea, which I wrote my last blog post on… so check that out if you’d like more of an explanation.

Things you like to do for fun: run, read, write, journal, spend time with God, talk with God

Something you cannot go a day without: Water… but actually, chugging water when I’m thirsty is one of my favorite things…

What is the last spontaneous thing you did? Something stupid that resulted in my last blog post haha I’m human, I’m stupid, I’m a sinner, thank God for Jesus.

Coolest place you have ever been: Too many, they're all really cool in their own way.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Dishonest/closed off people scare me.

Most embarrassing/crazy story you are a part of: I was part of a “clique” in high school called B.A.A.M. I'll leave it at that.

One word that your closest friends and family would use to describe you: Honest.

World Race Questions!

Have you ever been on an international mission trip? Nopeee, first one. Go big or go home.

What is the most prized possession in your backpack? Well the more expensive things like my new kindle (which I got today as a gift!) and the iPad I’ll probably bring are things I’ll appreciate to no end because they're great… but prized possession? Monkey Bear (my stuffed animal that looks like both a monkey and bear, creative name, I know) and my eggshell pad thinger that I’ll sleep on that will remind me of home.

What are you going to miss the most? Water that I can get anywhere and know it won't hurt me if I drink it, and cheese.

One thing you HAVE to take with you? A journal with plenty of pens to write with.

One touristy thing you want to experience on the race? Anything ridiculous… amazing sights, jumping off cliffs, etc.

What are you most excited to experience on the race? God’s love and His children throughout the world. How I see Him at work around me, and how I see myself change because of it all.

What are you most nervous to experience on the race? Homesickness, doubt, anger, impatience, selfishness… and the gigantic bugs/rats etc. that will try to make friends with me.

What country are you most excited about serving in? Thailand and Puerto Rico (my people!)

What ministry excites you the most to experience on the race? Honestly, anything, I just want to experience it all

What nonessential item do you want to bring in your pack? Kindle, iPad, Monkey Bear, and my sleeping eggshell pad… all the things I'll love the most haha I'm also planning on writing a letter to myself before I leave that I'll open during the last month on the field. I think it will be interesting to see where I am now, what I hope for during the race, and to see where I end up 10 months later.
