I can put up a tent with my eyes closed! If that does not tell you how much we put tents up and down, then I don’t know what to tell you.
It took me this long to write about the Training Camp.
I did not realize that Training Camp would be so hard. Personally, for me it was tough because it was raining and cold at the same time. I am definitely a Florida Girl! (Papa, this is the only time you would hear me say that I actually missed Florida weather during this week :0)
Going to Training Camp was my first step towards God’s adventure out of my comfort zone. The fist night was hard being there because being on the overloaded squad, I knew things would have to be changed by pulling people out of the squad. Before worship our squad had a meeting with one of the Adventure in Missions staff. She told us that one of her friends had to go through a similar situation. God worked things out for her by making His own plan; switching squads was the best decision she ever made. After worship it felt like the whole squad was in the Hunger Games, literally! It is sad to say, but our squad lost seven team members that night. We all know this is His plan, not ours! We are going on the World Race to glorify Him in the route that we have chosen; and, that was one of His signals/signs that our team members had to go on a different route to glorify Him in different countries. I pray for each and every one of you, that y’all will find comfort in your current squads and that by changing routes you know that is where God wants you to be. I know that all of you had your hearts set on the countries that you wanted to serve Him in and all of the sudden you are not going there. I pray that your hearts will love those countries as you loved your first choice. Overall, Training Camp taught me that I should rely on God first before I can make any other decisions, even if at the same time it is hard. Because, in reality, it is our human nature that we want to do things the way we as humans think is best for us.
Thanks for reading this and please keep praying for me, Team Eklektos and N-Squad.
