Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of being a traveler. And a veterinarian. And a crocodile hunter. But that is besides the point. I just wanted to travel and do mission work, shine the light of the Lord, and allow Him to use me to help others. I craved for adventure.
I use to dream of being like Paul and preaching the good news to the nations, telling others about the mercy and forgiveness of the Lord. All I have ever wanted was that wherever the Lord placed me, I would shine His light.
I use to dream of being like Isaiah in chapter 6, verse 8.
-Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
These dreams were the cries, and prayers of my heart for years. And they still are to this day, being twenty one years old, living in Kansas City.
These dreams were placed in me at a very young age, from the time I was three years old. There I was, running around our house in the country, wearing my snow boots with all of my clothes packed in suitcases, always ready for travel and adventure. I didn’t know specifically where I wanted my destination to be, all I knew was that I just wanted to GO!
The World Race, my friends, is the fulfillment of these dreams that the Lord has placed in my heart.
The World Race is beyond anything I could have ever imagined for myself. It is far grander, and better than anything I could have desired. Eleven countries, in eleven months. Serving and loving. Being a light in the darkness. This, my friends, is one of the greatest opportunities the Lord has blessed me with.
As my journey continues I will be posting blogs and updates for all of you. I ask that you partner with me in prayer and encouragement. There is also a link here where you can support me online if you so wish. If you would like to donate anonymously, I would greatly appreciate it, but I would also love to give you a hug and say thank you for your contribution.
Thank you friends and family for supporting, loving, encouraging, listening, and most importantly praying for me.
Blessings and peace to all of you.
-Ari
