SO let me set the scene, we left Chiang Mai to head to Phuket by bus, which took 22 hours, which was no sweat when you slept for 14 of those hours. We left Chiang Mai after finding out that our team leader was being called up to be a Squad leader and knew there were team changes coming. I was pissed! Our team was amazing; we were so diverse and though we were not perfect by any means, we were working through our junk. It was amazing, and now it was being taken away from all of us. I went into our debrief with such a bitter heart towards the whole thing, and how things were going, but it was because I was selfish in it all. Then team changes came and before the teams were announced we had a little bit of worship and God gave me such an amazing amount of peace about the entire situation. The day before we headed to Malaysia, we got our new teams, and I was pumped. Though I did not know any of them well, I was excited to form close relationships with each and every one of them.
We went to the mall to “make a memory” and just get to know each other a little bit more since we would be doing life with each other for who knows how long. Then God really started to rock my world. When I told my team about the depth with which my previous team and I handled team times, they were intrigued because they felt that they never needed to go that deep with each other; they worked through some things but nothing major.
Well, no time like the present to change that! =) You can talk with anyone on this planet and not a single person has life totally figured out, and no person is perfect. We all have junk of some kind to work through, it’s just a matter of whether you are willing to be transparent with one another and walk through it. Without even asking any questions, my team and I are already diving in! We care about each other, and the Lord sees that and has placed each of us perfectly on this team to bring freedom to each other and in doing this, we will bring God the most glory from it. This month just started and God is MOVING, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Here are a few pictures of our first week of ministry, painting a kindergarten!

I am so excited to see the ways that God is going to move both within this team and with our ministry. In order to do that and to continue this Race, I still need $2200 by January 1st. If you feel called to be a part of this journey, I invite you to pray for me and/or support me financially by clicking the “Support Me” tab on the left hand side of this page.
