I have been sheltered by school for roughly 22 years of my life, you learn some things about this thing we call the World but now it is my time to find out first hand to what this giant ball is really about!
I have always loved helping people learn as well as traveling, so why not get the best of both worlds (pun intended). People always say, why do you feel the need to go to 11 different countries when this country has so many people that need help? I believe that when Jesus said to His Disciples “GO and make disciples of ALL NATIONS” He did not just mean the United States. This country is known as, “The land of opportunity” people just want things handed to them on a silver platter. However,I would be lying to you if I fully knew what I was getting myself into by going on this trip, but how many times in your life did you know exactly what you were getting yourself into? Isn’t it exciting? No matter how big or how small the new stage in life is, its always exciting, with the right mindset of course!!
I am more nervous and scared about this trip than I even imagined but, if I get freaked out, it’s because I am not trusting in Gods plan for me, He has gotten me this far, why not buckle up and “trust in the Lord with all my heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8) It does not say it will be a smooth ride, but why should it be? My world is going to be turned upside down and inside out but I just have to hold on and let Jesus take the wheel! (Thank you Carrie Underwood for the quote!)
