Favorite Things!

Color: Purple

Movie: ones with happy endings lol. Umm… I can watch Hitch, Elizabethtown, or Mr and Mrs Smith over and over. I am a huge star wars fan and marvel fan…

Disney Movie: Probably lion king or aladin

Band/Musician: depends on the day… I can listen to rock or country anytime… I love brad paisley. I am learning more about jazz, blues, bluegrass, and celtic music and I love what I hear. Rockabillies never let me down either. I love music J

Book: singular book is hard… probably white star. I can’t remember who the author is and the book got destroyed by an ex’s young son. I like series and generally read authors. (fun fact: I own and have read over 50 star wars books since graduation)

Food: Italian for sure. I have found that I love most if not all variations of potatoes as well. And don’t forget the meat. I love meat.

Ice Cream Flavor: chocolate chip cookie dough, or anything coffee related

Memory: riding as a family through the mountains into North Carolina and back. It’s the last good memory I have of my family before my parents divorced

Quote: “If it wasn’t this it would be something else.” Elizabethtown

Scripture: “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever truth wins out. Love NEVER GIVES UP, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and ENDURES THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Season: always the next one 😛

Sport to play: soccer or basketball… I played soccer for 8 years and loved it..

Sport to watch: football or nascar (yes nascar is a sport)

Sports Team: ugh… I lost all respect for my football team (penn state) with all that happened a few years back. I am currently looking for a new team. Trying to like the VOLs, but it’s just hard. I like Hendrick motor sports team in nascar, but just gained huge respect for the jo-gibbs team. I didn’t realize he was not only Christian, but outspoken about it.

Random Questions!

Best Vacation: I have never been on a vacation besides visiting family.

#1 on your bucket list: I haven’t really given a bucket list much thought. I do want to learn to surf and to dance (like legit ballroom dancing), and I WILL go skydiving one day

What fictional character do you relate most to?

Things you like to do for fun: I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing guitar, any kind of game with others, running, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and watching movies.

Something you cannot go a day without: something to do. I am self-diagnosed adhd. I have never been able to sit back and relax long or well. Even reading and watching TV I will toss and turn and talk to myself or family or friends.

What is the last spontaneous thing you did? Last week I had a particularly bad week and just took a day for myself. After work I ran and listened to a worship play list. I went on a shopping spree at lifeway getting a new devotional, a couple cds, and a study bible. Finally I treated myself to Olive Garden topping off the night with a delicious caramel hazelnut macchiato

Coolest place you ever been: hmm… well I have been to Gettysburg, Detroit, nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, hunsville… I’m sure I’m missing some, but to quote I am Number 4, “a place is only as good as the people you know in it.”

What is your biggest pet peeve? Disrespect.

Most embarrassing/crazy story you are a part of: idk, I learned to not be embarrassed easy. I am the only quiet one in my family and we all love practical jokes. There was a crazy story though. When I still lived in PA, dad hit a deer taking us to school one morning. Because we were poor, he got out and was gonna take it home (deer meat is the second best thing I have ever eaten). Well he had only broken its back 2 legs and thought he could simply break its neck. Well it turns out deer are quite strong and dad was thrashed around for a few minutes just holding on for dear life :P. He ended up taking out his knife and cutting her throat, but my sister and I thought of him like Sampson cause he barehandedly killed a deer.

One word that your closest friends and family would use to describe you: hmm… I get too nice from one set of friends and from my other set of friends usually get things like faithful. From family it depends on if they are serious. If they are I get smart usually, if not silly or quiet.

World Race Questions!

Have you ever been on an international mission trip? If so, where? Unfortunately I missed my one chance to go anywhere last year. I simply did not keep up with what was going on until I missed the deadline

What is the most prized possession in your backpack? My most prized possession wont fit in my pack, but that won’t stop me. I will be bringing my guitar.

What are you going to miss the most? Family and a phone. Even when I don’t use it much, I always have it with me

One thing you HAVE to take with you? My music. I simply would go insane without it. I can’t remember a single day I went without music EVER

One touristy thing you want to experience on the race? I wanna raft the Nile, go on a safari, climb mt kilamanjaro, and see the taj mahal…

What are you most excited to experience on the race? True community/family

What are you most nervous to experience on the race? Public speaking… It has been and probably always will be one of my biggest fears (though singing is no problem, weird huh?)

What country are you most excited about serving in? number 1 is a 3-way tie: Cambodia, India, and Nepal. Haiti, and all of Africa are a close second

What ministry excites you the most to experience on the race? I am not sure. I have human trafficking seared on my heart, but I love kids and I love teaching. The last is a new revelation for me

What nonessential item do you want to bring in your pack? Coffee, cinnamon, and card games.
