We leave on Tuesday morning for Cartagena, Colombia!!

My team and I are so excited to be serving in this beautiful city!!! 

Here’s a picture of my team: 

We will be working with YWAM for our first month.

 

Most likely we’ll be doing the following:

  • Practical service

  • Bible distribution

  • Serving in mercy ministries with children and vulnerable people

 

We will know more once we get there, but I just wanted to take the time to update everyone.

Until then, here’s a picture of the beautiful city!!! 

Here are some prayer requests for our first couple of days as we travel and move to Colombia:

 

  • Safe travels

  • Team unity

  • Good relationship with the host

  • Cultural understanding

  • Being able to engage with the people and build relationships

  • Provision of needs

  • Pray that God would break us of the things we need to let go of

  • Pray for our health, especially since the water and the food will be different in South America

  • That we would continually seek the Lord and His will and be interruptible by the Holy Spirit!

 

 

Am Dienstag morgen geht es endlich los nach Cartagena, Kolumbien!!!!

Mein Team und ich freuen uns schon sehr in dieser wunderschönen Stadt zu dienen!

In unserem ersten Monat werden wir mit YWAM (Jugend mit einer Mission) arbeiten. 

Höchstwahrscheinlich werden wir dies dort machen: 

  • Praktische Dienstleistung 
  • Bibel verteilen
  • Mit Kindern und wehrlosen Menschen arbeiten 

Wir werden mehr erfahren wenn wir ankommen. In der zwischen Zeit, seht ihr oben ein Bild von der wunderschönen Stadt Cartagena. 

 

Hier sind auch ein paar Gebetsanliegen, damit ihr wisst, wie ihr für unsere erste Woche beten könnt: 

  • Eine sichere Reise
  • Team Einheit
  • Eine gute Beziehung mit unserem Host
  • Kulturelle Verständnis
  • Das wir uns mit den Menschen dort beschäftigen und Beziehungen bilden
  • Versorgung unserer Bedürfnisse
  • Betet dass Gott uns von den Sachen brechen wird, von denen wir loslassen müssen. 
  • Betet für unsere Gesundheit, besonders weil das Wasser in Süd Amerika nicht besonders sauber ist und wir nicht wissen wie oft es dort mit Gemüse und Obst in Kontakt kommt. 
  • Dass wir weiterhin Gottes Wille geschehen lassen und den Heiligen Geist weiter suchen werden.
