Not only is God changing my language to become one of praise and thanksgiving, He is also providing us with some fun opportunities to learn new phrases. Here are some of my favorite from New Zealand that I hope to bring back to the States
Choice= The New Zealand version of “cool”
Sweet as= The same as “Awesome” or “oober cool”
Squiz= A look. ie “come take a squiz at this” translates to “come take a look at this” (This is actually more of a British phrase that we learned from our map friend Graham)
Hundreds and Thousands= Sprinkles… like the kind that goes on birthday cake or ice cream. (again, definately more British)
Energy= Calories (so when I need some energy I can eat more calories here J )
Munted= Messed up
