A random collection of things I have noticed while living in Uganda and Rwanda the past two months.

-The people are really beautiful
-#eggsandbeansforbreakfast
-They call white people muzungus, the African version of gringos
-Signs for cow crossings
-Everyone wears flip flops
-Sorry Central America but they make way better rice and beans
-The air is insanely dry in Uganda. You have to drink your weight in water to keep from -turning into a raisin
-Casava is a root that they eat a lot of in Uganda. Unless it is fried it tastes like what I imagine spray starch to taste like
-Don’t be a hero, take your doxy
-They call white potatoes “Irish”
-Everyone stares at you if you are white
-Cabbage and onion in everything
-Public transport, while helpful takes forever and you might end up with someone on your lap
-One moto will stop in front of a group of 10 and ask if one needs a ride… as if they could take all ten
-Every little town you pass through looks almost exactly the same. Wild West ish architecture
-The red dirt will get into everything and every part of you. It will give you a bad spray tan and it’s a struggle to get out of your clothes.
-Rwanda is surprisingly green and Kigali has lots of gardens and trees.
-Like Florida, in Rwanda it rains once almost every day.
-#babiesonbacks
-Bicycle taxis
-So much beautiful fabric ??
