6:39pm- we start boarding for our 3rd and final flight
6:50- in the air yet again. I actually stay awake for more of this flight, don’t miss any meals, and actually finish what I’m watching.
8:00- we find out we will be touching down in Rwanda before we go on but we don’t even have to get off the plane.
3:00am- we touch down in Rwanda, everyone is stretching their legs in the aisles and passing around the snacks they bought in the states. Almond m&ms for everyone!
4:07am- finally arrive in Uganda. Go through customs, get our bags, and proceed to hang out for several hours while waiting for our taxis. We say farewell to each other as one by one teams get picked up by their ministries. My team and the now all boys team are the last to leave and end up staying at a hostel together for a few days before ministry starts. Hello Africa! After 40+ hours of travel we are finally here.
