There are currently 16 days until launch* starts, and only 15 days until my dad and I get in the car and drive to Atlanta. And then it begins, the journey I have been thinking about for almost two years is actually going to start. In 15 days I will leave Indiana and I won’t come back until 2017. This time between training camp and launch has been full of work, friends and family. I have been soaking up every moment I have with them (nothing like leaving for 9 months to make you appreciate your obnoxious siblings, honestly my 12 year old brother has been nothing but annoying and all I can think is “he’s so sweet”). I’m not ready to say goodbye to everyone, but I am ready for what is next in life, and right now God has called me to the World Race. So in the busyness of summer and jobs and fun things I have just been enjoying this time before the goodbyes, and I’ll worry about those later.
*launch- launch is a few more days of preparation for my squad before we head off to our first country, Guatemala!
I know this is a short blog, but I just wanted to update everyone on my World Race, and a big part of that is fundraising. I am currently 72% funded and I am working to meet my next fundraising goal of $13,000 by September 30th, I need $3,000 by then. A HUGE thank you to my supporters so far! I have been so blessed by you all and I’m so thankful you are a part of this journey with me.
