Today is our last day in Padre Las Casas.

After sunday school this morning we begin the journey for Haiti.

It's so strange to be saying goodbye. I have grown to love these faces and this place.
The Lord is here in Padre Las Casas.
I can see Him their eyes and feel Him in their hugs.

I will be back here one day,
but for now
Fare thee well…

 to Ani (my little namesake)

to Dachel, the little girl who sat with me everyday at the park.

to the children at Compassion…

to Javier and the boys that wait outside our door…

To the old woman with a quiet spirit….

To the coffee candy that was so good we had to buy a whole bag…

To guava fruit and pig tails…

To the three little rascals….

To the old men who sit on their porch all day…

To "Monster", the tiny girl with a huge head and even bigger personality

To the kids in our art class…

Farewell to our sweet old neighbors, to the pigs the size of horses, to the motorcycles that try to run us over, to the blaring music, and to Meco, to the rain, to the incredible coffee, to the stunning sunsets, to limes and avocados, to the markets, to Dora, to our lovely little apartment, and to Mayi.

Thank you to all the souls that have loved me and blessed my heart.

Tonight we drive to San Juan to have dinner at Mayi's house, and then leave by bus for Santo Domingo at 5 AM tomorrow morning, transfer buses and arrive in Port Au Prince at 5 PM tomorrow evening.
Pray for safe travels.
