Hola a todos!

I am happy to say I am here in Ecuador in month 1 of the World Race! Thanks to God! I am fully funded and here to serve! THANK YOU to all of you who made it possible for me to experience these incredible ministries!

I was excited to find out that our first month of ministry would be working with disabled kids at Camp Hope.

If you would like to find out more and help support the children at Camp Hope here is the link: camphopeecuador.org

Sometimes it’s hard to communicate with these children because they either cannot hear you or are unable to respond or even understand what you are saying. But God knows their hearts and they are so precious to Him and they are becoming precious to me. Because everyday I ask God to help me to love them in ways that only He could, to show me new ways to love. I have grown to love each one with their unique personalities. I rejoice when they repeat something later that they learned in their classes or even when they listen and respond to something I say to them.

Some of the highlights so far in working with the children at Camp Hope:

  • Horse back riding therapy.
  • When Gloria one of the young girls(who typically has a hard time being calm) laid her head on my chest the whole 45 minute ride home from horse therapy.
  • Dancing with the children at a little (late) Christmas fiesta that a local school came to help with.

As far as living arrangements we’ve been so spoiled, sleeping in warm beds, having warm showers, hearty meals and wonderful hosts who are so kind to us in serving us everyday!

The people of Ecuador I have been serving with have been such beautiful examples to me . The ones at the center especially have such unconditional, tender love for these children that have such individual and demanding needs. They are full of joy and love and they definitely inspire me!

Please pray for me…..that God would teach me how to love the world and see the world as He does. Please pray for the health of our entire squad as some have been sick. Praise Him for this opportunity to serve Him!
