Im not really sure how to even begin writing a blog about this month. This past month that I have spent in El Salvador has been amazing in all ways. The Salvadorian people of this country are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. Everywhere we go people open their hearts and their homes to us. We have been blessed in so many ways.

This month we have spent traveling all around the country of El Salvador. Our contact lives in San Salvador but we have ministered with and met people in many different areas including, San Vicente(my personal favorite) San Miguel, San Antonio, Santa Ana, and Apastepeque. Many of our days were spent going to areas where we were able to worship as well as share our testimonies. We also learned a few wordless dramas that we had fun performing, these were good because it did not matter that we weren’t fluent in Spanish.

We also had the opportunity to share our experiences, and our testimonites on tv and radio here in El Salvador. That was crazy as well, to think that we would be chosen to share how the Lord was working through us on television and radio that would be broadcast to thousands of people.

Ok so I have a story…….
Last Friday we had a busy day planned. We were told two of us would be giving our testimony and one would be talking about our experiences on the World Race which would all be live on on TV, and two would be giving their testimonies at the service that Brooks would be preaching at later on in the evening. Well I am going to be honest, right off the bat I was like “I absolutely will not give my testimony on TV, that is way over my head” (for those of you who do not know this, I really hate when the spotlight is on me, I know, I know I am on this journey and thats what its all about. Getting up there and letting the Lord speak through me. Its all a process, I am still working on it.) Anyway Dawn was feeling the same way as me and so we could not really make a decision about who would speak on TV and no one was really feeling a push from the Lord so we used the old “pull the name out of the hat trick”. So anyway guess who got “picked” to share their testimonies on TV? Yup you guessed it……Dawn and I. No when I say “picked” obviously it was not just a coincendence. The Lord knew all along that Dawn and I would share, we just did not know yet.

So we all got to the TV station and we got in their and let the Lord speak through us. Once again if you do not know this about me I am a very anxious person. I stew and think about things and become anxious. It has always been a struggle for me. Anyway I have really been working on letting it all go and really trusting and relying on God because my anxious spirit does nothing except make myself ever more anxious. When in reality I have absolutely no control and in the end it always turns out the way the Lord wanted it all along. Once again its all a process. I have lived 23 years like this, its gonna take more than 2 months to really let it go.
We had devotions with Oscar and Jacky the other day and this was the verse he read us: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
It was the perfect verse.
Until next time
