Now that 2016 is over I wanted to give some love to the people whom I have come across in the past year.
The first goes to Glerdis Cupi (Gary)

Gary is 11, lives with his mom in Lezhe, Albania. Gary’s best attribute is his smile and his ability to make everyone feel like they matter. Gary taught me that friendship isn’t determinate of age, language, culture or status.
Second goes to Tapiwa Ngwira (Tapi)
Tapiwa is from the northern part of Malawi but is currently living and working at the Bethel Training Camp in Nkotakota, Malawi. Tapiwa has a large heart for youth and a calling to be a youth pastor. The love he shares for the Lord is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. He is hilarious and inspiring. He is my brother.
Third goes to Vy.

Vy lives with her grandmother in a small village in Mansa, Zambia. I only knew Vy for one day, but she changed my life forever. It is because of this little girl that I want to one day be a mother to a son or daughter of my own. I love you, Vy.
Fourth goes to kids of Joe and Sarah Nelson.
Jacob, Tyler and Marissa Nelson are missionary kids living in Thailand. Originally from California, they now live full time with their parents in Phuket sharing the love of God to a community that needs it desperately. Being kids of 10, 12 and 15, they don’t live what most would consider a “normal” childhood. But they have each other and they make the best of it. I claimed them as my own little brothers and sister and I hope to meet up with them in the future.
Next goes to Chandler Marie Martin. (Chan, Channy, ChanChan)
I have been beyond blessed to form this friendship over the past 8 months. It’s weird to think that 8 months ago we were strangers and now I consider her one of my better friends. She puts up with me when I’m at my worst and still chooses to be my friend. I can’t wait to continue living life with together even off the field.
Finally, shout out to my home away from home, my make shift family, the people I love and hate at the same time, R Squad.
I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else to do this crazy thing with. Thank you guys for the love and support you give me on a daily basis. 5 months is going to happen too fast. Let’s make the most of it.
