Translated: slow down; or slow the frick down.
I cannot believe that I leave Albania in just TWO days! Cray.
Month 1 has been awesome. Kid’s camp ended up lasting for 2 weeks instead of 1, which meant more time with GareBear. Gary, on the day before the last day of camp, surprised me by pulling out this awesome bracelet with my name on it, WHICH HE MADE. It was so sweet and so humbling to know that I impacted this kid so much he blessed me in return. I will seriously never ever forget him.
This past week has been spent in blood, sweat and tears. Maybe not tears. Actually, who knows. Anyway, we’ve been working around the camp to improve it a little before we peace out for Romania.
WHICH HAPPENS ON SATURDAY.
Seriously, I’m going to need time to slow down because these 11 months are going to go by way too fast. And although that might make my mom happy, that won’t make me happy. (Sorry mom)
Anyway, Saturday we start our trek (on buses) to Serbia where we’ll meet up with the rest of our squad to make our way into Romania. Once there we’ll get 4 days in Bucharest for some debrief with our mentor and coaches and it’ll be back to work for us. Look out for another blog to know what Romania will look like for me. Also a surpriiiiiiise 🙂
Love you guys.
