By bedtime tonight I will be in PANAMA! It’s finally the day we board a plane and head out to deliver the love of Jesus to the lost and broken people over all ends of the Earth! There have certainly been some sad goodbyes along the way, but spending the last few days at launch with my iSquad for final debrief has truly readied my heart. I look around me at all these beautiful sons and daughters ready to love and serve Christ, and I just can’t help but be joyful!
Launch is 4 days packed full of wisdom and well wishes from the Adventures In Missions (AIM) staff. Some of the sessions were refreshers on safety and logistics. Some of the sessions were about how to be a good guest to those who will host us over the next 11 months. Each of these talks intertwined the common theme of cultivating the presence of God and walking in the truth that you carry that Presence in you always. Wow. Wait. Do we really realize what that means? The Spirit is not just something we bring with us, it is IN us. How powerful. What a strong and encouraging thought that our Heavenly Father resides within us, and we don’t have to be afraid of the journey ahead; for this journey is not just FOR God, but WITH God. Yet, we must be willing to access that which is already there. He freely gives us the power and authority to do the works that Jesus did. He wants us to walk on water alongside Him- but we’ve got to get out of the boat. We’ve got to step out in faith and believe that He won’t let us fall.
During these 4 days, we also spent much time together as Team Warrior (these are the people I will do life with daily for the next 11 months!). We set goals and visions for our team, shared with one another what we hoped to get out of this year, and also did a large amount of goofing off 
These 4 individuals hold so much of my heart already, and I am absolutely beyond excited for what He has in store for us as a unit!
Although it was lots of talking, and talking….. and more talking, I am truly grateful for all the time and effort put into sending us off armed with insight into what it means to bring the Kingdom, to spread the Kingdom, and to truly be the Kingdom. With each step I take forward in this journey, I can feel the Presence closer and closer to my heart. What an affirming Father 🙂 Now, it’s time to put all that talking and wisdom into action. It’s time to step out of the boat, onto an airplane, and jump in the river of God’s love!
I have so much more to share… ministry we will be doing over the next month, route changes, what I packed/how I packed for 11 months of life, where I am & how I am feeling, and MORE!! I promise I am compiling a blog that contains all that good info- but for now I just wanted to touch base and say cya later- I’m jumpin’ in the river!!
