Our time in Tanzania is winding down. Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while. Our time here has been just as amazing as the rest of our time in Africa. For the first time we are teaching English classes and computer classes. We also have a team that goes out every morning doing ministry- door to door & visiting Christians to encourage them. The church we are working with has bible study/group meeting on Tues, Wed & Fri evening. One of us usually teaches for those meetings. On Saturdays we go to a local orphanage to play with the children. We are staying pretty busy here. For me personally ministry looks very different. God has called me out of ministry to stay back and intercede. I love intercessory prayer but I’ve never pulled out of ministry all together to do it. So when God was trying to tell me to do so, I questioned it. I rather do physical ministry, that’s why Im here right? So the first week we were here I relied on my own understanding and went to ministry- always feeling out of place- never comfortable. This wasn’t right. I never felt so out of place in ministry. So I finally stopped doubting and just listened. This past week I’ve been out of ministry and in intercessory prayer. It was hard to listen to God at first because He was telling me to do something drastically different. It was hard at first staying back at home while my team goes out for ministry but God has been amazing with our time alone. I know this is my ministry for the month. It looks different for me but God has a plan and He knows best and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else than right where He wants me.
