HEY ALL!

There have been some changes since you last heard from me… first of all, thank you to EVERYONE who purchased a shirt to help keep me on the race! Together we sold 83 shirts! Wow! Thank you!! Catherine, I believe, said that she was going to open up the blue shirts to be purchased for a second round because she had so many people say they missed the window the first time… If that’s you, get in touch with her ([email protected]) to find out when / where / how you can get a shirt!

ALSO! My team changed locations! Last time I wrote, we were in Thailand… though I don’t think I updated you guys much on our ministry there. It was so fast-paced! We were going from city to city teaching English in various schools and doing odd jobs here and there when that wasn’t consuming our days. To be honest, Thailand was quite the blur and I will have to collect my thoughts on it and come back to that topic later.

We left Thailand on May 30 with sad, yet full hearts. We had thoroughly enjoyed our time with our ministry hosts, the people we were blessed to be able to work with, and all of the beautiful parts of Thailand we were able to serve in. We rode a 6 hour train from Thailand to Cambodia’s border, got off and had to hike about a mile with all of our stuff on our backs, fronts, (heads for some of us with extra things) to go get our visas, then took a 4 hour bus ride to our hostel in Siem Reap, Cambodia. From there the teams dispersed. Our team: Jess, Erin, Emily, Kristin, Rachel and I; had to stay back in Siem Reap for another day because our ministry site was still being finalized.

This came as a blessing! 1. We were able to rest a little bit more before getting thrown back into another whirlwind of ministry – new hosts, new location, new language, NEW EVERYTHING. 2. The man-made wonder of the world, Angkor Wat, is in Siem Reap… BLESSING!

So, on the morning of May 31, we went (our team and Jordan – a girl from another team) to see this wonder… and WONDER it WAS!

Here’s a short video that I made about my visit to Angkor Wat:
