My name is Anna Lauren Meeks and I am a graduate from Clemson University.
I have a degree in Language and International Trade with a specialization in Spanish and Tourism though I’ve been a high school Spanish teacher since graduating in 2012.

“My lifelong dream is to shoot photographs for National Geographic or Time Magazine so that I can travel to and live in exotic places such as the wild civilizations of South Africa.  Until then, I aspire to learn as much as I can in order to change my life and the world in any way that I am capable.”
— This was something that I wrote upon graduating in May of 2012. I still have these same desires, though they have changed a little bit. I no longer think my lifelong dream is to shoot for National Geographic or Time… I just want to take pictures that will touch someone, somewhere; they don’t have to be publicized in a globally known magazine. I do however long to travel to exotic places, experience new cultures and capture what I learn about the people I meet in photographs that reveal their stories without me even having to say any words.

I have always had a passion for missions in my heart – ever since my first, literal, mountain top experience in Patate, Ecuador in 2006. Since then, I have eagerly gone on any and every mission trip I could work into my schedule, whether it be to Honduras, Ecuador, Mexico or just up the road a few hours to West Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky.

I am excited for what is in store on the World Race and I believe that God is going to be doing work in my life as I meet new people, experience new cultures, and grow ever closer to Him!
