Hola to all of you, my dear readers.

I’ve been in Costa Rica already one week, and I apologize you’ve had to wait so long for an update. We do not have wifi at our ministry host’s. That means one thing, of course: I have very limited time for communication! However, I will try to give you a brief update before I lose my opportunity.

My first week of ministry has been fantastic. As always, my heart becomes so alive when I’m in settings like this. One of my goals this year is to live every day “wide awake and fully alive”. It’s not always the big things that make a difference in the Kingdom, but sometimes just something so little as holding a baby and praying for the child’s future. I have been supremely blessed to be able to hold nearly a dozen babies already. A few days ago I held babies for hours on end. By the end of the day my arm was heavy from exhaustion, but I didn’t care. I did what I love more than anything in the world, and I’d do it every day for the rest of the year if I could. The night we arrived here I mentioned if I could hold ten babies a day, my month would be totally made. In reality, it may not be ten babies a day, but even if it’s ten a week, I’m smiling.

Our living situation is better than what I dared to dream of. We have two toilets, a shower, and a kitchen. We have a church to live in and a tile floor on which to roll out our sleeping pads. Community living is strangely beautiful and unique for me. I am a “private” person, so to share everything with everyone is stretching me. It is also beautiful in that we constantly have each others backs, and, I can’t really oversleep because we’re all in the same room. I am loving each of the people God teamed me with, and I feel we are full of so much potential to invest into the Kingdom. So far we have been doing a lot of manual labor: drywalling, painting, cleaning, prepping food for ministry, ect. Tomorrow we move to another ministry location where we will spend the next few days.

Time is running out, so I’ll close. Please know I appreciate every prayer offered on my and my team’s behalf. We need you. You are our backbone. I pray you will be flooded by the grace and blessings of Jesus. So long!

Ps. I still need a few thousand more dollars to help me reach my goal of being fully funded. Please consider donating if you are able. You can follow the support me link located on the top right-hand side of my blog. Be blessed two-hundred fold!!
